I love teaching and feel that it is my calling. I have a Bachelor of Education in Education and Teaching at the elementary level from South Bank University in London, England. My specialty subjects are English, reading, and writing, but I also tutor math. I think the key to keeping students' attention and helping them absorb information is making learning fun and planning activities and games that are of interest to them. I believe my cheerful, committed, and enthusiastic personality plays a role in engaging with my students and being able to lead them to success. I create positive relationships with my students and their parents through respect, trust, and effective communication. Teaching has been incredibly fulfilling for me and makes me feel like I am making a difference in my students' lives. There's nothing else I would rather do as my life's work. When I teach English, reading, and writing, I strive to pass on my love of books to my students by introducing them to a variety of texts, since reading leads to so much knowledge and critical and creative thinking. When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy doing activities outdoors, reading, and playing with my dogs.
